Christmas Services Moved to Jan. 2nd
UPDATE: There is no evening service as we combined the two services into one morning worship service.
After much deliberation, the Elders and I have decided it would be in the best interest of our congregation to postpone our Christmas Eve Service and our Night of Worship to January 2nd. We have had a number of people in our church community become ill over the past few days, including a large portion of our Worship Team. Rather than scramble to put together a Christmas Eve worship service, we felt it would be better to move it to a later date to avoid compromising the quality. We want our Christmas Eve service to be a meaningful and joyful experience, which may not have happened with such sudden changes. The Worship Team has also been working diligently to put together Night of Worship that would also not be possible in their current state. We look forward to hosting both of these events on Jan. 2nd, with our Christmas Eve service taking place during our regular worship time of 10:45 am and the Night of Worship remaining at it’s previously scheduled time of 6:30 pm. We would love for you to attend either or both when we can be together free of illness.
With all of that said, I would encourage you all to make sure that your Christmas celebration is pointing to the true meaning of Christmas: Jesus Christ. As you watch Christmas movies, remind your loved ones of the real Christmas story. As you spend time with your family, remember that through faith in Jesus, we’re adopted into God’s family. As you look upon your evergreen tree, consider how Jesus offers us life amid death. As you exchange gifts, remember that the greatest gift God ever gave us was Himself through Jesus, who is God incarnate. And as you gaze upon the lights that hang on our homes and our trees, remember that Jesus was sent to be a light in the darkness.
May God bless you all. Have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year! I look forward to worshiping with you again on Jan. 2nd.
