From Paradise to Promise: Problem

Mar 1, 2026    Tim Wilmetti

This opening message looks at Genesis 2:4–25 to show what life was like before everything fractured—when humanity experienced an unspoiled relationship with God. We explore Eden as more than a beautiful setting: it reveals God’s heart, His generosity, and the kind of life we were meant to know. Along the way, you’ll see why our deepest aches—restlessness, striving, loneliness, and shame—feel so heavy, and why we keep longing for something we can’t quite name. This sermon sets the stage for the rest of the series by helping us feel what was lost, and why God’s rescue in Jesus matters so much.
