Purpose
Pataskala Grace Church exists to share our hope in Jesus as we passionately pursue Him.
Values
TRANSFORMATIONAL TRUTH
We anchor everything we believe and do in God’s truth revealed in Scripture and embodied in Jesus Christ. This truth doesn’t just inform us—it reshapes us. As we receive God’s Word with faith and humility, the Holy Spirit continually changes our thinking, desires, relationships, and direction so our lives increasingly reflect Christ.
CONTAGIOUS HOPE
Our confidence for life and death is found in Jesus alone—His saving grace, His presence with us, and His promises for eternity. That hope produces a deep joy and steady peace that stands out in a fearful world. We want our hope in Christ to be so real and resilient that it spreads—stirring curiosity, opening doors for gospel conversations, and drawing others toward Him.
GRACEFUL AUTHENTICITY
We want to be a church where people don’t have to pretend. We know we can slip into fear of being exposed, over-spiritualizing, or hiding weakness, but we’re pursuing a culture of honest, humble community shaped by grace. We aim to confess sin, share burdens, and speak truth with love—offering compassion without compromise and help without harshness—so that real repentance and real healing become normal among us.
INTENTIONAL HOSPITALITY
We strive to welcome people not only into a service, but into our lives. We recognize that busyness, comfort, and familiarity can make us passive, so we’re trying to choose intentional, relational hospitality. Our hope is that strangers become neighbors and neighbors become friends; that people feel seen and loved; and that genuine connection becomes a pathway for many to encounter Christ and find a home in God’s family and in our church.
MISSIONAL TEAMWORK
We serve as one body with many parts—different gifts, one mission. Ministry is not for a few professionals; it’s the joyful responsibility of the whole church. We value unity, shared ownership, and active participation, believing that every member matters and every role contributes to what God is doing among us. Faith is not a spectator sport; we’re all called to be ministers of the Gospel.
COURAGEOUS OBEDIENCE
We define obedience not only as avoiding what God forbids, but actively joining what God is doing in the world. Courageous Obedience means we refuse spiritual comfort and ministry complacency; we stay responsive to the Lord’s leading and ready to move when He calls. It is a posture of faith that says, “Yes, Lord,” even when the next step is costly, inconvenient, risky, or hard. We pursue growth, take initiative, and embrace sacrifice—not to chase change for its own sake, but because we want to follow God into the “not yet,” trusting Him as He stretches us for the sake of His mission.
